Straight definitions for lead response, follow-up, and AI terms, including a clear note on what SeenOnMain actually does and doesn't do for each one.
AI Lead Qualification
AI lead qualification refers to software, usually a conversational chatbot or voice agent, that uses artificial intelligence to ask a potential customer questions and assess whether they're a good fit (budget, timeline, specific needs) before a human at the business ever gets involved.
AI Receptionist
An AI receptionist is software, usually a voice AI agent, that answers a business's incoming phone calls automatically the way a human receptionist would: greeting the caller, answering routine questions, and sometimes booking appointments or taking a message, all without a live person picking up.
Lead Follow-Up
Lead follow-up is the practice of contacting a potential customer more than once after their initial inquiry, typically because they didn't respond to or convert on the first outreach attempt. It's the mechanism most businesses rely on to recover leads that don't close immediately.
Lead Response Time
Lead response time is the amount of time between when a potential customer contacts a business, by phone, form, or otherwise, and when the business first responds. It's one of the most cited factors in whether a sales inquiry actually turns into a paying customer.
Missed Call Text-Back
Missed call text-back (also called "text-back" or "missed call automation") is a feature that automatically sends a text message to a caller when their call to a business's phone line goes unanswered, so the business can still make contact even though nobody picked up.
